Estate Signage, Andover Estate

Extensive commissioned signage scheme for North London’s Andover estate (the first complete overhaul of estate-wide signage since the estate was completed in the late 1970′s).

Carefully considered and researched wayfinding solution for an estate with over a thousand homes.
Vitreous enamel signs specified for longevity (compared to cut vinyl film).
445 signs; 275 page location-by-location installation manual.

Font: Gothic 725 _ white text on blue ground. The distinctive blue references blue-glazed ceramic name plaques on much local authority built housing around the Borough. A mark of quality.
Yet to be implemented.
